By: Angel Valles

It looks like time has just passed us by
watching each other like mirrors on the desert.
We were playing fools by being useless hearts
beating nonsensicals without knowing why.

All the morning things seem brighter
and she started with a smile that made me wonder
planet wise and beyond, cause all the sudden
sadness belongs to someone else, the morning after.

I am holding her tight in my arms
speaking no further as strangers
and there is no more complain
cause love once again is reaching us.

On this long storm the rainbow rose

By: Emily Dickinson

On this long storm the rainbow rose,
On this late morn the sun;
The clouds, like listless elephants,
Horizons straggled down.

The birds rose smiling in their nests,
The gales indeed were done;
Alas! how heedless were the eyes
On whom the summer shone!

The quiet nonchalance of death
No daybreak can bestir;
The slow archangel’s syllables
Must awaken her.
